VLADIVOSTOK, Russia, July 11 (Xinhua) -- Russia's Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) located in the port city of Vladivostok wants to enroll more Chinese students, Vice President for International Relations Victoria Panova said here Thursday.
"The majority of our foreign students come from China. We would like to have even more students from China," Panova told Xinhua.
According to official data, 1,400-1,500 Chinese students are studying at FEFU for various programs, accounting for almost half of the university's total foreign students.
Panova said Chinese students are interested in engineering, economic management and linguistics, among other majors, and the university has a special department to help foreign students with their study here.
In April, FEFU opened a representative office in Beijing to attract more Chinese students.
