BEIJING, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- Chinese film "The Last Wish" topped the Chinese mainland box office on its debut day Thursday, the China Movie Data Information Network said Friday.
"The Last Wish," a comedy directed by Chinese young director Tian Yusheng, tells a nostalgic story of the precious friendship between brotherhood.
The film raked in 29.57 million yuan (about 4.18 million U.S. dollars), accounting for nearly 34 percent of the daily total.
Coming in second was "The Legend of Hei," which grossed 16.1 million yuan on its sixth day of screening.
"Crawl" ranked third with ticket sale of 14.84 million yuan on its opening day Thursday.
