CHONGQING, China, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- China's Under-22 team beat Jordan 2-0 in the Chongqing International Football Tournament here on Wednesday.
Zhang Yuning made the breakthrough for China in the 55th minute before scoring a volley from the left wing at 67 minutes.
It is the first show of the Chinese Olympic team's executive coach Hao Wei, who was appointed last month.
Hao arranged a stable 4-3-2-1 formation for his team. After kick-off, China tended to strike on the right side and dominated, while Jordan made long shots to threaten China. But both teams did not score in the first half.
After Zhang's two goals, Jordan tried to make a comeback but unfortunately failed to break the China's defense.
The Chinese team will take on Indonesia and Saudi Arabia in the coming days.
