Chen Lin and his colleagues are briefed safety instructions before work in Jinchang, northwest China's Gansu Province, Feb. 11, 2021, the eve of the Chinese Lunar New Year. Chen Lin, 34, works at the third mining zone of the Jinchuan Group in Jinchang, one of the country's major production bases of nickel, cobalt and copper. This year, Chen chooses not to return hometown during the Spring Festival and stays put with his wife and older son to help curb the pandemic. Though away from home, Chen has received specialties sent by his parents from hometown Langzhong to help create atmosphere of the festival.
